Perjalanan ini terasa cukup berliku namun ada makna yang bisa aku petik di dalamnya. Masalah yang aku hadapi cukup simpel namun sarat akan makna.  Bahasa yang menjadi problem utama ku selama ini akhirnya bisa aku simpulkan bahwa bahasa adalah bagian dari matematika. Orang yang memiliki kemampuan matematika yang bagus, biasanya mampu menyampaikan bahasa yang efektif dalam kehidupan sehariharinya. Memperkuat logika apakah itu mungkin?

PAJALE Flashback

I have experience like an internship for agricultural students. This is located in Gunung Tua, Padang Lawas Utara, North Sumatera Province. In this location, I have my friends from another major in campus. They come from majoring Agricultural Engineering. Let me introduce their name in photo above:

So, the tasks of this Job are:
 a. Mentoring work plan.
b. Helping agricultural extension / THL-TBPP in activities special efforts (upsus) in the sub-district / village.
c. Partnering with agricultural extension and Babinsa in mentoring (planning and execution of farming, introduction of technology and institutional farmers) to farmers.
d. Together Lecturer / Instructor in conducting Demfarm.
e. To identify potential areas of farming and logging as well as communicate via sms center.
f. Creating a regional level advisory report submitted to the supervisor.

I like this job, because it makes us, as an agricultural students can do applications directly to the rice fields. Then, we can sharing each other (with the farmers) about our experience in farming the crops.
Hm.. I think this is interesting if we can make good schedule and relationship with the farmers and Agricultural extension workers.   

This program is called PAJALE(Padi, Jagung dan Kedelai) . And the activities carried out mentoring of students to agricultural extension beneficial to help communicate to farmer extension for implementation of technology and good planting system so that farmers can increase production, especially of commodities Rice, Corn and Soybeans.

The results are:

*Tertiary network rehabilitation activities in the village are already accomplished 90%. The irrigation network has a height: 60 cm; length: 200 m; width 60 cm. Martua mountain village is one of the villages which received assistance from the program in the District JIDES Portibi. Be a source of irrigation water comes from rivers that flow between rice fields in the village. Some of the activities carried out by the farmer groups and communities represented here by the village chief to work together to create some of the water-retaining buildings to gain entry to tertiary irrigation channels were built. Topography of this village located at an altitude causes the rice fields here do not get water from its main source Batang Ilung Dam.

*For its own agricultural tools, the Village of Mount Martua only get one tractor as an aid to the farmer group named serjahtera. Usually coordination by extension done in-house extension in this village. Therefore the use of tractors division schedule is set to be equitable to all farmers in need.

*Provision for superior seed is nothing in this village. The seeds will be planted on Planting Period 3 cultivated through Perhutani by the BP3K (Extension Agency of Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry). But there is no realization in August-September in the community because they have not been the start of the planting. If there is no relief, then the habits of farmers that are here is to use local varieties derived from the crop Planting Period 2.

*Provision of fertilizers has been carried out by the BP3K to the farmer groups in September. Fertilizer is an aid for farmers in this village are Urea and NPK.

*Setting planting season has not performed optimally in this village. This is due to lack of coordination with the irrigation section in this area. In addition, it is caused by the climate that is not conducive to planting.

*Program called GP-PTT carried out in this village is planting soybeans. According to the observations extension number soybean production is not sufficient to meet the targets of the program. It is caused by drought on Planting Period II (in July-August) threaten this village. As a result, soybean pod does not contain and compounded by pests and diseases that exist in the soybean lowered soybean production

*Expanding the Area Planted (PAT) Corn and Soybeans have been done but still have not been up for planting soybeans recently carried out in line with the government program special effort.
