Pepatah tentang hutang budi (Etty Raz)

"Kasudahan dunia ke akhirat, kasudahan adat ke balairung Pisang emas bawa berlayar, masak sebuah di dalam peti. Hutang emas dapat dibayar, hutang budi dibawa mati."

Dalam bentuk yang lain pepatah Minang menjelaskan, "Yang kurik ialah kundi, yang merah ialah saga, yang baik ialah budi, yang indah ialah basa. Pucuk pauh selara pauh, penjuluk bunga ligundi, supaya jauh silang sengketa, perhalus basa dan basi."

Sesungguhnya syarat yang dikehendaki dalam adat yang bermutu tnggi dan berakhlak baik ialah budi pekerti yang baik dan tinggi. Budi ini mendapat tempat utama. Pecahan budi itu di dalam adat akan menjelma dalam raso, pariso, malu, dan sopan dalam perilaku dan pergaulan.

Dalam maknanya yang lebih luas, budi adalah kesanggupan merasakan dan berempati kepada orang. Rasa itu di bawa ke dalam diri. Senang dan sakit orang lain adalah senang dan sakit kita juga. maka budi itu berbuat baik terhadap orang lain, seperti kita berbuat baik terhadap diri kita sendiri. Sejatinya, hubungan yang terjalin antara kita dengan orang lain bukanlah berdasarkan untung dan rugi. Beban sekoyang dapat dipikul, budi sedikit terasa berat.

Propolis dapat menjadi anti-oksidan

Pada semua proses metabolisme tubuh, terutama reaksi dengan oksigen akan membentuk molekul-molekul yang kekurangan electron (tak berpasangan) di kulit luarnya. Sayang Kampung Ditinggalkan

Anak minang merantau sesungguhnya belajar dari alam. Belajar tanpa didampingi seorang guru atau pembimbing. Ia melangkah, belajar, mencoba, gagal, berhasil, silih berganti, demikianlah seterusnya. Semua peristiwa yang didapatnya dari perjalanan hidup di rantau harus diberi makna. Pengalaman itulah yang membentuknya menjadi pribadi tangguh.

“karatau madang di hulu, babuah babungo balun. Merantau bujang dahulu di rumah baguno balun”. Pepatah Minang ini menjadi basis tumbuhnya budaya merantau di kalangan orang Minang. Kata “Baguno” atau berguna memiliki arti yang sangat dalam. Hidup bukan sekadar hidup. Hidup seharusnya membawa manfaat bagi keluarga, masyarakat, agama dan bangsa. Sosok yang tidak saja kuat dari sisi fisik, tetapi juga kuat dari sisi keilmuan, moralitas, integritas dan juga kearifan.

Kampung bagi orang Minang dipahami sebagai tempat asal atau tanah kelahiran. Keluarga dalam maknanya yang luas. Karena itulah, orang Minang memiliki ikatan batin yang sangat kuat dengan kampung halamannya. siapa yang tidak mencintai kampung dan keluarganya, maka ia akan tercabut dari budayanya.Meskipun harus dicatat, mencintai kampung tidak mesti dengan mendiaminya. Bukan pula ditunggui. Dari lahir sampai meninggal dunia.

Improve your Writing Tip #1 - Favour strong verbs over adverbs

Adverbs are words that add color to a verb. In the sentence "The barrista quickly made a cup of coffee" quickly is the adverb.
Adverbs can be really useful, and sometimes indispensable, but often they are just used to prop up a weak verb. Use a strong verb instead. For example, use "stabs" instead of "pokes swiftly", or "meanders" instead of "wanders slowly". Scan your writing for adverbs and ask yourself "Is there a stronger verb I can use here instead?". Sometimes the answer will be no, but if the answer is yes then use it and your readers will thank you.
Stephen King likened adverbs to dandelions. He says, "If you have one on your lawn, it looks pretty and unique. If you fail to root it out, however, you find five the next day... fifty the day after that... and then, my brothers and sisters, your lawn is totally, completely, and profligately covered with dandelions. By then you see them for the weeds they really are, but by then it’s — GASP!! — too late."
Mark Twain had a frozen indifference to adverbs. He said, "I am dead to adverbs; they cannot excite me. To misplace an adverb is a thing which I am able to do with frozen indifference; it can never give me a pang. . . . There are subtleties which I cannot master at all--they confuse me, they mean absolutely nothing to me--and this adverb plague is one of them."
